Arrested Entertainment

Eric | January 18, 2006

My cat, looking for America’s sense of humor

Arrested Development is almost gone, probably because of its low ratings against such valuable productions as…..American Idol? Seasons 18 – 25 of the Simpsons? How much more blood will Fox squeeze out of that rock?

Personally, I found AD to be a very entertaining show, much better than what the latest Simpsons or Family Guy had to offer. The antics of the family remind me of the money-grubbing selfishness that grows more prominent in American society every day. Good writing doesn’t always find a good audience.

Feels kinda like walking on a diseased foot, doesn’t it?

Hopefully the show will be picked up by another network before it is relegated to the dumpster outside the offices of Fox.

Times Square

Eric | January 11, 2006

Ok, ok, so I do have a fetish for this sign………get off my back. I also tried really really hard to get a shot of the Chrysler Building at night without success. Next item on my shopping list: a really small tripod.

Buildings At Night

Eric | January 9, 2006

I like night photography, but need a tripod to avoid blurred lights like this. This picture was taken from Central Park on December 31, 2005.

Pricey Parking

Eric | January 7, 2006

A New York parking garage.

Park in New York City for as little as $9.29 per half hour! Sound good? Well, you can belong to the garage from $400 per month and get unlimited half hours. I can’t wait to move in, can you?

Year One in Review

Eric | January 5, 2006

My stats manager keeps track of what search phrases lead web users to my site. Lets take a look at my to see what people got out of me this past year:

People searching for the words in my domain name generated 91.3% of the non-robot hits to my site.

People searching for information on Brent Machado, Benjamin Aurich or Emily Apatov generated 1.8% of my traffic.

Searches for information related to NSA wiretapping generated 2.2% of traffic, while searches related to Joe Wilson and Cindy Sheehan produced about 2% of my traffic.

The rest was junk.

My new years resolutions (tho a bit late) are as follows:

  • Deliver more insightful commentary.
  • Help out those needy students yearning to learn about the original Eric the Red.
  • Go on a better diet.
  • Ditch my Rubenesque figure for my original statuesque one.
  • Test drive a new business model the tassel-wearing “geniuses” say wont work. I love proving them wrong.

Welcome to Hell

Eric | January 4, 2006

So I’m in hell as far as work is concerned. I will post my NYC 2005 pictures as soon as possible.

And my cooking blows like Big Ben…..anyone want to volunteer to take over?

Meanwhile, a priest must prove that Christ exists.
