Were I Started

Eric | April 19, 2006

This is the house I started out life in. It is located at Lehigh Acres, Florida. There are units available that are more luxurious than this one! When I was born, my dad worked at a local K-Mart as a janitor and there was a hurricane bearing down.

In the Middle of Nowhere

Eric | April 12, 2006

This picture was taken out the window of my car as I drove along Alligator Alley (I-75) [Warning: PDF!] from Fort Lauderdale to Fort Meyers. My parents thought I would get rammed off the road and mugged. Fortunately, traffic was a bit heavy for that. Amazingly, the trip used a little less than a quarter tank of gas. Next time: pictures of the shack I was born in! YAY!!

Even A Winged Rat…

Eric | April 11, 2006

…needs to spend some time on the beach.

This picture was taken during Spring Break 2006, near Fort Lauderdale.

Also for those who are self-employed: Steve Pavlina has some advice for you!

Times Square

Eric | January 11, 2006

Ok, ok, so I do have a fetish for this sign………get off my back. I also tried really really hard to get a shot of the Chrysler Building at night without success. Next item on my shopping list: a really small tripod.

Buildings At Night

Eric | January 9, 2006

I like night photography, but need a tripod to avoid blurred lights like this. This picture was taken from Central Park on December 31, 2005.

Pricey Parking

Eric | January 7, 2006

A New York parking garage.

Park in New York City for as little as $9.29 per half hour! Sound good? Well, you can belong to the garage from $400 per month and get unlimited half hours. I can’t wait to move in, can you?

The Big Apple

Eric | October 24, 2005

After a bit of a break from photography, I offer my two-person audience a picture of Times Square in New York City.

And no, I do not have a *thing* for Chase Bank.

Heres the Chrysler Building in the distance:

Finally, one of Central Park:

The Windy City

Eric | September 21, 2005

I took these pictures with the camera on my LG VX 7000 on a trip to Chicago during Labor Day weekend.

The John Hancock tower, and its neighbors, from the top of the Sears Tower.

Another view of Chicago from the Sears Tower

Ok, ok, I’ve been high for too long…..

The Hancock building, up close and personal.

The moral of this stroy: DON’T use a phone cam for long distance shots. Also, the Windy City was not so windy that day. I feel cheated….

Cruising Maine

Eric | September 19, 2005

The following pictures are from a May cruise to Maine aboard the American Eagle. They were taken with a Sony DSC P52.

Day 1:

The mast, with its life preserver and crew members in the background.

This lighthouse and the breakwater that is is perched upon were finished after the local port went out of service.

The American Eagle has several small dinghys. This one was the largest.
